This thesis focuses on the topic of mobile food trucks, specifically for pizza and the technology used to modernize them.  To research this, I located several food truck handbooks and articles as well as conducted an in-class focus group. This topic is important to me because, when I was about ten years old my family and I were sitting at the table during dinner, talking about different ideas for businesses and inventions that we could possibly turn into a real business.  That’s when my mom suddenly remembered that when she was driving down the road to our home, she saw a mobile food truck, which said on the side of it, “Flag this truck down, if you want a pizza!” You could tell this truck to pull over somewhere, and they would make a fresh pizza right there on the spot. We started trying to come on with names of a pizza business if this were our idea, and that’s when the name “Pies On The Fly” was born.  After that day, it has always been a family idea for a pizza business, and from the start of my senior thesis class, it has been turned into a reality. Over the course of roughly 9 months of my senior year in high school, I would start the process of creating my pizza business, from a funny joke and a cool idea into a real-life concept of pizza. The last thesis assignment I did in my senior thesis class taught me the most so far. I developed a real Business Plan.  In my business plan, I talked about how much money I thought the business could generate, the technology that was needed to run my business efficiently and even what my future plans may look like. I can use that Business Plan to take to banks for a loan or private investors who might be interested in my business. I never thought that an old idea could be created, that it would open doors for me in the future. Leading me to more possibilities then when I was ten.
